Adolescents and Sexual Violence Webinar Resources

By Dana Fleitman, Program Coordinator

In honor of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Mitru Ciarlante and Kirsten deFur presented February’s National Alliance to End Domestic Abuse webinar: “Let’s Talk About Sex: Adolescent and Sexual Violence.” The webinar focused on the unique needs, challenges and barriers facing teenagers as they navigate their relationships and sexual experiences and offered best practices in discussing sex and sexuality with teens as well as working with teen victims of sexual violence. Over 97% of webinar attendees indicated that they were satisfied with this presentation, and attendees commented that it “stirred many thoughts about serving and reaching teens.”
