Watch this short clip highlighting Freedom House, the first fully accessible emergency shelter for disabled victims of domestic violence and their families in the United States.
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports that only 35% of shelters they surveyed have disability awareness training for their staff, and only 16% have a dedicated staff person to deliver services to women with disabilities.
